Overview

Ngala Private Game Reserve occupies a scenic spot on the border of the Kruger National Park, a 15 000 hectare range of some of the most amazing wildlife spotting opportunities anywhere in Africa. As one of the first concessions to be officially incorporated into the exclusive greater Kruger National Park, it enjoys otherwise unheard of traversing rights to this spectacular area. With first class luxury facilities, a minimum impact contruction, and a genuine sense of the adventure native to the Kruger, Ngala is a stunning safari getaway that is second to none.

Ngala, the shangaan term for “lion”, is also the name given to this romantic safari lodge, at home in an area made famous by regular sightings of black and white rhino, elephant, buffalo, wild dog and buck. A peaceful holiday destination, it takes heavy hints from the colonial style of decoration long since lost to most lodges – softly lit, bold wooden finishings, courtyards and thatched bomas under which dinner is served – these are some of the elements which make up the character of this rich and colourful lodge.

Ngala Luxury Lodge is a fantastic destination for honeymooners or couples seeking the intimacy and romance synonymous with lodges such as this.A place where time slows down, it offers the luxury of a leisurely pace, ideal to reconnect and renew relationships among families, as well as grow friendships between the children and land, animals and people of Africa.

Children’s Program
Ngala Safari Lodge WILDchild programme, designed especially for children visiting our safari lodges and camps in Africa, is filled with fun, interactive activities that offer opportunities to learn and discover new experiences and cultures. Deeply rooted in the love for the African bush, it not only creates a series of unforgettable moments for the whole family but forges strong bonds between our young guests, our planet and its people.
