Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge is a 4 star lodge situated on the western boundary in the first private concession within Africa’s oldest proclaimed Game Reserve Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park, Northern KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

Accommodation

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge accommodates a maximum of 36 guests in 4 different room types. The rooms have been carefully positioned high up on a ridge to take full advantage of the spectacular views over the hills and valleys of Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park while at the same time giving each room maximum privacy. This has resulted in some of the rooms being quite a distance from the central lodge facility with some of them being a 200 metre walk to the main lodge area. Guests are advised to pack comfortable flat shoes for walking along the paths.

Facilities include: Fireplace in each Villa, 11 metre infinity lap pool with sundeck, Exceptional Spa Facilities, Boma, Curio Shop, Wi-Fi can be intermittent and slow due to satellite connection.

Children 4-12yrs pays 50% of adult rate when sharing with 2 adults.
Children 13-18yrs pays 75% of adult rate when sharing with 2 adults.

Children on Game Drives:
Children of 3-6 years will be accommodated on a kiddies drive from 10am-12pm – no extra charge.
They will be required to have a guardian adult of the parent’s choice within the group booked.
Children 0-3 years may only go on game drives if a private vehicle is booked at additional cost.
There are no afternoon/evening game drives for children 3-6 years. There will be a supervised kiddies playtime/activity between 2.00pm-3.00pm in Winter & 3.00pm-4.00pm in Summer

From 1 September a minimum 2-night stay will be required

Directions

Directions from King Shaka International Airport via Nyalazi Gate (3.5 hours from airport to the lodge – allow time to stop for animals in park)

Follow the exit signs out of the airport and head north on the N2 Toll Road in the direction of Emhloti/KwaDakuza (formerly Stanger) towards Empangeni/Eshowe/Richards Bay. Please ensure you have at least R200 in cash or a credit/debit card (No Diners/Amex) for toll fees. After 184km take exit 375 toward Mtubatuba/St Lucia/Nongoma Turn left onto R618 and travel for 24km Turn left at sign HLUHLUWE-iMOLOZI PARK Please check in at the Park Office and present them with your Reservation Number. Please keep any paper work that they hand you as you will require this on exiting the park. Please drive with care in the park as not only are there wild animals but the road is in poor condition with several potholes which are being repaired
