Positioned on a rocky outcrop of the exclusive Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, the warm hospitality of Nedile Lodge is complimented by the tranquil and intimate feel of its accommodation. Tucked into a secluded corner of peaceful bushveld and surrounded by the rugged mountain landscape of the largely unexplored Waterberg Biosphere, this lodge aims to offer its guests the unforgettable holiday experience.

Nedile offers blissful getaways that are the combination of pure luxury, spectacular location and personalized service. While it is luxurious and comfortable, the essential simplicity of Nedile, or ‘The Place of the Breeze’, ultimately lets the true charm of the bush itself shine through.

Accommodation

Accommodating just ten guests in five luxury rooms, the suites at Nedile are nestled into the rocky outcrops that overlook the Waterberg Mountains. Comfortable and inviting, each room is a sanctuary of tranquility, appointed with simple, traditional furnishings in natural materials and bathed in the natural light that pours through large glass doors.

Designed for complete privacy, the rooms lead onto a private viewing deck. Each suite also has a spacious en suite bathroom with a large stone tub, shower and its own incredible views. Individual fireplaces allow you to snuggle up in winter and outdoor showers provide a refreshing splash of cool water on long summer days.

Wildlife

Bordered by the pristine Marakele National Park and the untouched plains of Botswana, the Welgevonden Nature Reserve is one of the last truly wild places in South Africa. Home to the Big Five, the park is also the spectacular habitat of giraffes, kudus, red hartebeest, tsessebe, and waterbuck. A myriad of bird species clutter the trees and bushes and rare animals such as the aardvark are also to be found.

Nedile is set amongst the rugged cliffs of a gorge, surrounded by wooded mountains and rocky ravines where leopards often stalk. Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO because of the great diversity it encompasses, the Waterberg is a haven of natural conservation for any wildlife lover.

Children 
Children under the age of 10 are welcome if a group booking is done. (However, special authorization will be required from the owners of Nedile Lodge.)
Children are allowed on game drives at the discretion of the ranger.
There are no babysitting facilities.

Gate levy of R85 per person per night.

Please Note:
Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is situated in a malaria free area.No cars are allowed to drive around or park at the chalets and villas but are to be parked at the central parking area.

• BY AIR:

• Flights to O R Tambo Johannesburg International

• Transfers to lodge are available

• BY ROAD:

• Take the N1 travelling through Pretoria to Polokwane (Pietersburg).

• Stay far left at the Kranskop Plaza tollgate and continue on to the R33 to Modimolle (Nylstroom).

• Continue through Modimolle and pass through Vaalwater. Stay on the main roads here and do not turn off.

• After Vaalwater, past the TOTAL service station and a Spar on left hand side, and continue straight on the road towards Bulgerivier and Thabazimbi.

• Pass by Welgevonden’s Main Gate on this road on your left hand side and continue for 23 km further.

• Turn left onto Schoongelegen dirt road and continue along this road for a further 16.3 km to the West Gate on your left hand side.
