Wildlife

The Kruger National Park boasts huge biodiversity in both its plant and animal life. The Big Five live here, as well as many cheetah, elephant, hippopotamus, spotted hyena, wild dog, and zebra

The Mluwati Pride frequents the Ngwenyeni Dam and is usually spotted in the immediate lodge surrounds. The high density of leopards in the area ensures regular sightings of these shy nocturnal predators.

The region is a paradise for bird-watchers, boasting more than 500 species. The diversity of habitats in the reserve results in a rich diversity of species. This includes the renowned ‘Big Six’, namely Ground hornbill, Martial eagle, Saddle-billed stork, Pel’s fishing owl, Kori bustard and Lappet faced vulture.
