The Kingdom at Victoria Falls is a 4 star themed resort, situated within the Victoria Falls National Park, a World Heritage Site, and the Zambezi National Park. The resort draws its architectural inspiration from one of the timeless legends of Africa, the great and mystifying Great Zimbabwe Ruins. It is centred on a man-made lake and has a variety of rooms including twin rooms, double rooms, family rooms and suites. With towering domes and a host of water features, the complex complements the atmosphere of one of the iconic spectacles of Africa. With wonderful landscaped features, including three relaxing swimming pools and a kiddie’s pool, guests can enjoy the luxury while being only a short walk from the Falls.

The resort boasts a wonderful selection of six different dining venues ranging from family orientated restaurants to those a little more formal, but the overall ambience is casual and fun. Guests are assured of the highest standards, and friendly, welcoming service.

Accommodation

The resort is large, with 294 rooms ranging from suites to double rooms with king-size beds and family rooms. Many of the rooms have balconies with views over either the lake or the African bush. They are tastefully decorated and are all air-conditioned. En suite bathrooms have both showers and baths. Digital satellite TV and tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. Wi-Fi facilities are available. Paraplegic rooms are also available for diasabled guests.

Wildlife

Situated in one of the most famous World Heritage Sites, the Victoria Falls and Zambezi National Park is home to the full spectrum of African wildlife, including lions, rhinos and leopards, and the majestic Sable antelope. The short, five-minute walk from the resort to the Falls provides an opportunity to see some of the smaller species. One of the unique features of the area is the rainforest with its endemic vegetation that thrives on the mist generated by the Falls.

The rich birdlife includes a wide range of waterbirds along the river above the Falls, and birds such as Heuglin’s robin, Knysna turaco, and trumpeter hornbill in the Falls rainforest area.

Visas

• Currently South African passport holders are granted a free visa at the point of entry, while holders of other passports may purchase visas at the point of entry.

Rates

• Rates include a full English breakfast, and are quoted in US dollars.

Children

• Children are welcome at the resort.

• Children under the age of two sharing a standard room with one or two adults are accommodated in a cot free of charge.

• Children aged 2 to 11 stay free of charge, and pay 50% for meals.

• Adult children pay 50% of the twin or single rate with a full charge for meals.

Directions

• BY ROAD:

• From the airport, turn left on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway and drive straight ahead to the roundabout.

• Drive straight down past the level crossing along Livingstone way, then turn right after the Avis garage.

• Drive past the Kingdom hotel on the left and the next building to the left is The Victoria Falls Hotel.
