Legend Golf & Safari Resort is situated within the Big Five Entabeni Safari Conservancy. The Conservancy is situated in the Waterberg region of the Limpopo Province in South Africa, which is a malaria-free area. Conveniently only a two and a half hour drive or 35 minutes flight from Johannesburg.

Signature Golf Course

The 18-Hole Signature Golf Course, designed as Championship golf course, is the longest golf course in South Africa, providing all golfers, irrespective of their handicap, the experience of a true African Challenge.

Extreme 19th

The now world famous Extreme 19th is the world’s longest and highest Par 3, providing every golfer with an unforgettable golfing experience. Accessible only by helicopter, the tee is situated on the top of Hanglip Mountain with a 361 metres shot to the green  located 400 breath-taking meters below the tee. There is nothing like it anywhere else on planet golf!!

Resort Rooms

Spacious rooms accommodating two people. Resort rooms can be set up as a twin or double bedroom and are complete with en-suite bathroom. In room facilities include tea/coffee station, minibar (stocked on request), air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, 38 inch plasma flat screen TV and Emergency light. Total number of rooms – 204

Luxury Rooms

Luxury Rooms are bigger than Resort Rooms and are set up as a double bedroom complete with en-suite bathroom. Luxury Rooms are preferable for families with 2 small children as the floor space allows for additional roll-away beds to be added. In room facilities include tea/coffee station, minibar (stocked on request), air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, 38 inch plasma flat screen TV and Emergency light. Total number of rooms – 11

Executive Suite

An Executive Suite combines a Luxury double bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a living area. Executive Suites come complete with living room, fully equipped kitchenette, dining room, guest toilet and veranda. Facilities include tea/coffee station, minibar (stocked on request), air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, 38 inch plasma flat screen TV in the bedroom & lounge and emergency light. Total number of suites – 5

Mountain View Boutique Lodge

Mountain View Boutique Lodge easily caters to exclusive group functions of 20 (pax) people and sleeps a maximum of 12 guests. This Boutique Lodge is ideal for an executive getaway with its open plan layout and luxurious furnishings. The lodge consist of six luxury bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. 4 of the bedrooms have walk-in wardrobe closets with balconies and the other 2 rooms have court-yards. The rooms are complimented by 3 lounge areas, a dining room, two fully equipped kitchens (one kosher), a boardroom, large patios, outside entertainment area with braai facilities and a swimming pool. The Lodge offers exclusivity and personal service including butler service,  a private ranger and game vehicle. Total number of suites – 6. All air-conditioned and equipped with a 38-inch TV. 1 room is wheelchair friendly.

Wildlife

The wildlife experience is impressive with more than 55 mammal species (including the big five, consisting of lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard and rhino) 300 plants species and 380 bird species….not to mention the wide variety of insects, reptiles and amphibians all co-existing in five spectacular diverse eco-systems including grasslands, bushveld, mountains and river beds. Encounter the supreme wildlife of Africa with qualified rangers in our open safari game viewing. PLEASE NOTE: Children under 6 years are not permitted on game vehicles.

Directions

Road Directions to Legend Golf & Safari Resort from Pretoria:
Take N1 North Highway from Pretoria to Polokwane (Pietersburg). Keep on the N1 through Carousel and Kranskop Tollgates. Travel a further 32km on the N1. Take the Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) R101A offramp/exit (Route 289). Drive 8km to Mookgophong (Naboomspruit). Drive straight through the town of Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) on the R101A (29km) till you reach the Sterkrivier (Doorndraai Dam) turnoff (Legend Golf & Safari Resort signboard). Turn left and continue for 22km till you reach the Haakdoring turnoff. Turn left and continue for a further 3km on gravel road until you reach the traffic circle and the Great Enclosure of the LGSR Entrance on your right-hand side. Enter through the security check-point and park at Reception.

Road Directions to Legend Golf & Safari Resort from Polokwane:
Travel through Mokopane (southerly direction) towards Mookgophong (Naboomspruit). Travel 17km till you reach the Sterkrivier (Doorndraai Dam) turnoff (Legend Golf & Safari Resort signboard). Turn right and continue for 22km till you reach the Haakdoring turnoff. Turn left and continue for a further 3km on gravel road until you reach the traffic circle and the Great Enclosure of the LGSR Entrance on your right-hand side. Enter through the security check-point and park at Reception.
