Quirimbas accommodation at Ibo Island Lodge is award nominated and has been described as one of the most magical, atmospheric and unique lodges in Africa. The island is also one of the oldest and most romantic settlements in Africa and is nominated for World Heritage Status.

The lodge is set amongst lush gardens planted with frangipani, bougainvillea and palm trees. Three swimming pools are the perfect place to escape the heat of the day whilst the Bela Vista lounge lives up to its name with mesmerizing views over the bay at high tide, the private dining room features an enormous solid teak banqueting table, perfect for a private romantic dinner, or a group celebrating a birthday or anniversary in Mozambique.

Guest experiences at Ibo Island Lodge are some of the most varied in all of Mozambique. Famous for their secret sand bank beach and Quirimbas mobile island hopping safaris. The island is steeped in ancient architecture, history and culture, and guided tours bring the fascinating legends alive. Outstanding scuba diving and snorkelling is also offered at the lodge along with castaway beach picnics, guided sea kayaking, birding safaris, traditional dhow sailing, the mangrove forest experience, massage, romance and tranquillity.
