Depart on a true adventure with this incredible water and land safari experience. You will have the opportunity to spend two days exploring the Zambezi River, and riding its rapids, by canoe. The rest of the tour will involve visiting Victoria Falls, going on both boat and land safaris, as well as having a unique elephant experience during at the luxurious Elephant Camp.

This expedition is ideal for those with an adventurous nature.

Itinerary

Day 01 

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport guest are met and transferred to Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge. Imbabala is a small unpretentious safari lodge offering a true “African Safari Experience” on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

Day 02

Early morning game drive, Brunch at Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge. Afternoon high tea before departing on a river safari.

Day 03

Early morning game drive, Brunch at Imbabala. Guests are collected for their Upper Zambezi Canoeing Safari. After a game drive through the Zambezi National Park, guests arrive at our riverside camp. The guide will give a thorough briefing, which will cover; conditions of the river and rapids, canoeing instruction, safety and general information. Clients will be asked to sign an indemnity form. The afternoon is spent canoeing the Zambezi Rapids.

Day 04

A full English Breakfast is served in the morning before an hour game drive upstream to the put- in point. Today is spent canoeing – (18kms) – downstream, running small grade one and two rapids, exploring channels and bird and game viewing. This day includes the Sansimba rapids. A picnic lunch is served on the mainland or an island
Overnight camping on the banks of the Zambezi River (meals, limited drinks and camping equipment included)

Day 05

A delightful English breakfast is served, after which clients board their canoes and the day is spent canoeing another 18 kms downstream to the mighty Victoria Falls Falls. Rapids canoed today include the “Kandahar Rapids”. The scenery, channels and the rapids on both respective days are very different. Cold minerals & beers are served at the end of the canoe safari.
Clients are transferred the short distance back to Victoria Falls and arrive at The Elephant Camp in the late afternoon. This afternoon guests will enjoy an elephant interaction.

Day 06

Breakfast at The Elephant Camp followed by a morning Tour of the Falls. Road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport.

Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge

Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is an unspoilt wilderness experience, on the banks of the Zambezi, where guests rapidly become friends. Imbabala was originally built in 1987 and first opened in 1988. Despite being completely refurbished over the years, Imbabala is still a small unpretentious safari camp offering a true “African Safari Experience”.

The Elephant Camp

Only 10 minutes from Victoria Falls, the panoramic views of the Falls are breathtaking from the central area and the west wing of camp whilst the Batoka gorge yawns before one from the rooms in the east wing.

The Elephant camp is situated only 10 minutes from Victoria Falls in a private concession within the Victoria Falls National Park. With an emphasis on exclusivity, the luxury tented suites all have private decks and plunge pools.

No single supplement applicable on the packages. Please note, however, that a minimum of 2 passengers is required on the 5 night package (canoeing option).

This itinerary is subject to a minimum of TWO (2) guests travelling

Children: Children aged 7 years and older is welcome to join the Zambezi Dreaming experience

Canoe Safari 

Camping equipment, drinks and dinner are all included. (limited beers and minerals are provided
(approximately 2 per person per night), wine (1 bottle per 2 pax). If clients want other alcoholic or imported
drinks they must supply their own.
