Only four kilometres from the famed Victoria Falls known in the local language as ‘the smoke that thunders’ and set on a high plateau overlooking the Zambezi National park, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers only the best in an unforgettable true African experience. Designed as a vast open plan treehouse, the lodge is built on split-levels. With its vibrant fabrics and rustic finishes, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge has an undeniable appeal and unique character. The main building with its open balcony is where you’ll find the swimming pool, Makuwa-Kuwa restaurant and Buffalo Bar overlooking a waterhole offering excellent year round game viewing and with unparalleled views over the African bushveld.

Accommodation

Voted “Best Safari Lodge” in Zimbabwe for 17 consecutive years, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers 72 luxurious rooms decorated with African fabrics and fittings. Each room has its own balcony for soaking up the magnificent African sunset or for simply watching the game and rhythm of Africa go by from the comfort of your own room.

All rooms have digital safes, air conditioning, telephones, hairdryers, fans, mosquito nets and complimentary tea and coffee. Standard rooms offer double or twin beds with an en-suite bathroom consisting of a luxury bath and separate shower.

The spacious deluxe rooms have prime views overlooking the waterhole and a mini bar. Five of the spacious rooms also offer a roll away bed for children under 12 years.

The king suites are the pinnacle of African luxury, set out duplex style with an open plan lounge leading on to a private balcony overlooking the African bush. An open staircase leads up to the bedroom and en-suite with luxury bath and separate shower with massage jets.

Wildlife

Located near the Zimbabwean border with Botswana and Zambia on the Zambezi River, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is ideally situated for game viewing and experiencing the African bush. Overlooking a waterhole, wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, warthog and various antelope game is seen from each room’s private balcony or from the deck of the Buffalo Bar. A wide variety of larger mammals may also be found including elephant, lion, buffalo and leopard.

The Zambezi River is famed for its fierce Tigerfish as well as bream fishing and game can be spotted on the banks of the river whilst fishing for these highly sought after prize game fish.

Waterhole Facing Rooms – a maximum occupancy of two adults or one adult + child (3-11 years). Three of the Lodge Waterhole Facing Rooms can accommodate an extra bed for a child.
Waterhole Facing Suite – maximum occupancy of two adults + one child (3-11 years). The extra rollaway bed for the child is prepared in the Lodge Suite lounge
