Overview

Ingwenyama Conference and Sports Resort is a world-class, high-altitude, sports training destination in White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa, one of the country’s host cities for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The 65-hectare property comprises a hotel, conferencing facilities, FIFA accredited pitches and cricket fields, a high performance gym. Situated a few kilometres drive from the world famous Kruger national park and other famous heritage sites including the Kruger International Airport.

The resort offers 97 rooms and is nestled overlooking the valley on the southern side of White River Mpumalanga. Ingwenyama’ superb location provides guests with a gateway from which to explore the Panorama Route and Kruger National Park. Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is only a ten minute drive from the resort whilst, Johannesburg is an easy 3 hour drive.

Ingwenyama Sport and Conference Resort boasts outstanding facilities including Lounge, restaurant, bar, Boma and conferencing for 650 delegates in a schoolroom or 850 cinema or 450 banquet layout. The Resort has a well-equipped gymnasium, swimming pool and sports fields to cater for the sport travel market. The stunning Lowveld gardens overlook various dams that offer a tag and release fishing opportunity. A golf driving range is also located on the property.

Accommodation

There are 91 standard rooms, 65 twin rooms and 26 triple rooms. The 5 Executive Suites have two bedrooms and a lounge area. Rooms are non-smoking and have the following amenities:

Flat Screen TV with satellite channels, complimentary Wi-Fi , telephone (internal calls only), tea/coffee making facilities, air conditioning, safes and a private patio. There are 3 rooms only with a bath, the rest of the rooms have a shower only. Room service is available as well as a laundry service.

Conferences

Conferences are an extremely important sector of Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort business profile and every effort is made to ensure the smooth running of such events, no matter the size.

Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort now offers a total of 9 conference venues including the Indlovu Conference Centre with a floor space of 1000m2 (usable area) which seats up to 1000 delegates cinema and banquets 500 guests at round tables.

Other venues include:

the Imvubu Room which seats up to 350 delegates,
the Ibhubesi Room seating up to 130 delegates,
the Inyathi Room seating up to 70 delegates
and the more intimate venues ranging between 70 delegates down to the private boardrooms seating up to a maximum of 20 people.

Conference equipment includes the most up to date equipment in the venues and all standard equipment through the smaller meeting areas. Delegates have internet access in the hotel and all venues and can utilise the business centre.

• Children 12 years and younger are accommodated free of charge, room only when sharing with parents. Maximum 1 child
• Children 13 years and older are accommodated in their own rooms and pay full adult rates
• Triple Sharing is not applicable, rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child under the age of 13

Directions

Travelling from Nelspruit city centre, head northwest on Voortrekker Street toward Bester Street and turn left at Andrew Street. Turn right at Madiba Drive/R40 and continue on the R40 towards White River. Travel for 15.2 km and turn right towards White River. After 120 m take the first left and after another 550 m, turn right. Look out for our signs.
