15 Days
Safari
Cape Town
Imagine spending fifteen days experiencing Southern Africa in absolute luxury!
The beaches, world-famous cuisine and wines of Cape Town, luxurious big five safaris, and all the sights and sounds of the rising mists and thunderous waters of Victoria Falls. This remarkable journey really does tick all the boxes.
You will be staying at the most sought-after accommodation in these incredible destinations; including the multi-award winning Cape Grace Hotel, the stylish glass-walled suites at Singita Lebombo, the elegant Royal Livingstone Hotel with its very own private footpath to the Victoria Falls. And to add the finishing touches to an exquisite adventure – a four day journey aboard the most luxuriant train in the world, the Rovos Rail.
This trip is perfect for those who looking for a refined experience; couples, romantic getaways, honeymoons and photography enthusiasts.
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you’ll be met and transferred to the elegant Cape Grace hotel in one of Cape Town’s top locations: a private quay at the V&A Waterfront.
The Cape Grace hotel offers a complimentary chauffeur service to anywhere within a 10km drive of the hotel; this includes the famous beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, Cape Town’s vibrant city centre and the cable station at the foot of Table Mountain. Alternatively, Krugerpark.com can organise private tours, car hire or daytrips around the magnificent Cape Peninsula or out to the pretty little Cape Winelands towns of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.
There’s so much to see and do in Cape Town, little wonder that the New York Times made it number one in their list of: “Places to go in 2014”.
Leaving Cape Town you fly direct to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, followed by a short charter flight to the luxurious Singita Lebombo, found in a private concession of the Kruger Park.
This area of the Kruger is well known for exceptional wildlife viewing, and over the next few days you are likely to see all of Africa’s Big 5 including the area’s famously large prides of lion. Between game drives relax in the understated luxury of your glass-walled suite or stretch out on the shaded daybed of your private deck, looking out for hippo and elephant at the river below.
Finally, everyone who’s been to Lebombo can’t help but comment on the high quality of their food and their incredible selection of wine – Singita is recognised as one of Africa’s most influential wine collectors, and has received numerous awards and accolades.
Today you fly to Johannesburg and with a short transfer to Pretoria, where you’ll spend the night at the African Pride Irene Country Hotel.
Nestling in Irene, the African Pride Irene Country Lodge is centrally located between Johannesburg and Pretoria, and a mere twenty-five minute drive from OR Tambo International Airport. The area has a rich cultural heritage and many national leaders and historic figures have left their mark in Irene.
Enjoy an overnight stop at this welcoming hotel with lakeside views that rival most paintings, African Pride Irene Country Lodge is a luxury upmarket hotel with spacious, luxury accommodation, a fine dining restaurant, conference, function and wedding venues, and also boasts a spa.
After breakfast you’re taken to the Rovos Rail station where you climb about the most luxurious train in the world, and travel to thundering Victoria Falls in true old-world style.
This four-day adventure includes journeying alongside the Magaliesberg Mountains; on into Botswana through the capital Gaborone, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn; then into Zimbabwe, passing through Hwange National Park (where wildlife can be spotted on your scheduled game drive), and finally arriving at Victoria Falls where you will be transferred to the Royal Livingstone Hotel.
Travelling aboard Rovos Rail is a truly special experience that recaptures the romance of luxury rail travel. In the evening prepare to dress for dinner – a lavish four-course affair with white-gloved service, while afternoons can be spent chatting to your fellow travellers in the observation carriage with its plush leather armchairs and unique open-air balcony.
Staying at the Royal Livingstone Hotel puts you within easy walking distance of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. This elegant hotel lies on the Zambezi riverbank just upstream of the falls and has a fantastic sundeck with views of the spray rising up from “The Smoke That Thunders”, Victoria Falls.
Go on a walking tour around Victoria Falls – across the Knife-Edge Bridge and down into the Boiling Pot – then choose from the many other activities on offer in the area: sunset cruises, a helicopter flip over the falls, elephant-back safaris or simply a relaxing treatment in The Royal Zambezi’s tented gazebos right on the riverbank.

The private reserves and concessions of the Kruger Park are one of the best places in Africa to see the Big 5, and the Singita private concession is no exception! This area has a high density of all of the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) with excellent big cat sightings including cheetah, leopard and four particularly formidable prides of lion.
Although the Victoria Falls is not seen as a safari destination, you are likely to see plenty of wildlife during your stay here including hippo in the Zambezi River, and warthog and giraffe roaming the grounds of the Royal Livingstone Hotel. We’d also recommend a daytrip from Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park to see its famous elephant herds.
Cape Town is one of the most interesting, diverse and vibrant cities in the world. Staying at The Cape Grace you’ll be in the popular V&A Waterfront with its fantastic selection of restaurants, world-class aquarium, and ferries to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.
Other attractions close to the Waterfront include the white-sand beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton; the museums, cafes and markets of the colourful city centre; and the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. Further afield we’d recommend the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (fantastic for families), Cape Point’s rugged cliffs (wild walks and ocean views), and Kirstenbosch Gardens (the Cape’s unique fynbos set against a spectacular mountain backdrop).

They are the best!!!! Do not hesitate to contact them We booked our safari and part of our South Africa trip through Max, and honestly it was one of the best decisions of the whole journey. At first I was a bit nervous about booking something so important from another country — where we’re from you always hear about scams — but from day one Max was incredibly attentive, transparent, and patient with every single question we had. He helped us choose the lodge based on what we really wanted (wildlife viewing and an authentic safari experience), and the safari ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip. Everything ran smoothly, even when unexpected changes came up — Max handled it quickly and professionally, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Beyond the logistics, what stood out most was how supported we felt the entire time. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients having an unforgettable experience. We’re beyond grateful and would recommend Max and Andy 100% to anyone planning a safari. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. Something else to highlight: the custom itinerary and the interface website they create.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Easy to book, good communication. We booked our stay through African Travel Consultants as they were able to reserve us a 3 day game drive at fairly short notice for the dates we wanted (booked in mid Feb) at the wonderful Arathusa Lodge in Sabi Sands game reserve in Kruger National. We were assisted by Max who was very helpful and great at keeping us informed during the booking and payment procedure. Payment was easy and the Lodge and the game drives did not disappoint.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Great experience working with Max at African Travel Consultants Max was very helpful throughout my entire honeymoon planning process. My wife and I appreciated his prompt replies and thorough research. We had multiple calls with him and a running WhatsApp thread where we felt comfortable asking ant question, big or small. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week trip to Cape Town, Sabi Sands (loved the Earth Lodge), and Benguerra Island. We had so many memories from each portion of the trip. I would recommend talking to Max if considering a safari vacation but want to offload the planning to the experts. This was the perfect solution for us and his package pricing was not only better compared with other companies. On top of that, we felt the level of service was higher as well.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Mr. Andy made my dream come true, luxury lodges...here we come! Mr. Andy from African Travel Consultants made my dream come true. My husband treated me to a weekend away in the Sabi Sand. I used to hear about luxury lodges in this reserve and I look at the pictures and dream about them. Mr. Andy booked a suite for us at Lion Sand, I never imagined a place to be so pretty and the staff so helpful and professional. I see this company has a negative comment on their profile and I cannot belive it for a second. There must be something fishy here, no guest wanting to relax and experience luxury treatment would complain like that. I'm really happy I found Mr. Andy and from now on, he is our trusted travel advisor. I'm ready to explore more with ATC. Thank you Mr. AndyPosted on Tripadvisor![]()
