Accommodation

This Mpumalanga hotel is made up of 4 different types of accommodation. Casa’s, Villa’s, Twin and Double Suites and one “Casa Grande” which offers guests a jacuzzi. All rooms cater for double occupancies and have bathrooms en-suite. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge is available in each room.

The Casa’s lead out to the lush flower gardens whilst the Villa’s offer private gardens or terraces. The Twin and Double Suites each have entrance halls, spacious sitting rooms as well as luxury bathrooms with separate showers and toilets. They also offer the use of private patios with breathtaking views of the valley. This ensures that all guests staying at the Hazyview accommodation enjoy an experience of a lifetime.

The Casa Grande has a large sitting room opening onto a porticoed patio with a Jacuzzi, Sauna and private pool in an enclosed garden. On the upper level is a double bedroom with his and her bathrooms.

Ingwenyama Conference and Sports Resort is a world-class, high-altitude, sports training destination in White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa, one of the country’s host cities for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The 65-hectare property comprises a hotel, conferencing facilities, FIFA accredited pitches and cricket fields, a high performance gym. Situated a few kilometres drive from the world famous Kruger national park and other famous heritage sites including the Kruger International Airport.

There are 91 standard rooms, 65 twin rooms and 26 triple rooms. The 5 Executive Suites have two bedrooms and a lounge area. Rooms are non-smoking and have the following amenities:

There are 3 rooms only with a bath, the rest of the rooms have a shower only. Room service is available as well as a laundry service.

Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort now offers a total of 9 conference venues including the Indlovu Conference Centre with a floor space of 1000m2 (usable area) which seats up to 1000 delegates cinema and banquets 500 guests at round tables.

Other venues include:

the Imvubu Room which seats up to 350 delegates,
the Ibhubesi Room seating up to 130 delegates,
the Inyathi Room seating up to 70 delegates

Directions

Travelling from Nelspruit city centre, head northwest on Voortrekker Street toward Bester Street and turn left at Andrew Street. Turn right at Madiba Drive/R40 and continue on the R40 towards White River. Travel for 15.2 km and turn right towards White River. After 120 m take the first left and after another 550 m, turn right. This completely private bush camp features an outdoor dining boma set around a campfire, for lantern-lit evenings under the stars. There is also a thatch-roofed dining lapa for serving meals indoors. Accommodation

Accommodation at Tydon Bush Camp is in three comfortable tented-rooms with en suite bathrooms. These semi-luxury permanent tents provide an authentic African bush experience in understated, traditional safari style.

Each canvas tent is tucked away in the bush on a raised wooden platform, offering guests privacy. Every tented-room has its own little deck area, featuring a camping table and chairs for relaxing in nature.

Guests can choose between tents with double beds or twin beds, all with en suite bathrooms fitted with a basin, toilet and shower. These air-conditioned tents are equipped with side tables, bedside lamps, hairdryers and tea and coffee making stations.

The lodge is located in the central eastern region of the richly diverse and malaria-free 76 000 hectare (187 800 acre) Madikwe Game Reserve, North West Province, South Africa, bordering Botswana. Children’s Program
Many of us have kids of our own, so we know and understand what an unforgettable experience it is for children to be in the bush. We have taken a lot of time to design a kids’ menu of activities which will keep juniors entertained, and parents relaxed.

Unique to Madikwe Safari Lodge, the ECO HOUSE is an educational (and entertainment) centre built specifically for kids – and anyone with a fascination for the wild world and its inhabitants.

The facility is always a hive of activity, where kids can partake in painting, drawing, making location specific models and arts and get to experience some of the live specimens from the reserve.

Accommodation

Intimate accommodation with sweeping views over the game-filled plains with the Dwarsberg range forming a purple-hued backdrop.

The lodge is comprised of three small lodges offering 20 suites in total Madikwe Lelapa lodge, Madikwe Kopano Lodge and Madikwe Dithaba Lodge with 20 suites in total.

Lelapa lodge offers 12 comfortable, spacious suites with indoor and outdoor showers, private plunge pools and wood-burning fireplaces. Children of all ages are welcome at Madikwe Safari Lodge’s Lelapa Lodge. There are many activities available for children including: family safari drives, bush orientation, bug CSI, dung tracking, track pack with Plaster of Paris, baking in the kitchen, making pizzas in the boma, star gazing, games night and much more. Children between the ages of zero and five years stay free of charge and children aged six to fifteen pay 50% of the per person adult rate. Unfortunately no game drives are allowed for children under the age of two years and children between the ages of two and five are only allowed on the late morning family safari drive. The family safari drive for children aged two to five departs at 11:00 in winter and 10:00 in summer, and lasts approximately two hours.

Kopano lodge offers 4 suites for 8 guests, with private plunge pools and open plan lounges and dining areas. Children of 16yrs and older welcome and suitable for disabled travellers.

Dithaba lodge offers 4 suites for 8 guests, open plan lounges and plunge pools in each suite. Children of all ages are welcome if the lodge is booked exclusively.

Directions

Federal Air operates a daily flight from O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) to Madikwe airfield, departing at 12h00 and returning at 13h30. The airfield is 10 minutes drive from the Lodge.

Gaborone, Botswana is 2 hours from Madikwe Safari Lodge. If you are either coming from or going on safari in Botswana, transfers can be arranged.
The driving time from Johannesburg is approximately 4 to 4.5 hours and there are two different routes to consider.

O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) to Madikwe Safari Lodge via Abjaterskop Gate. Note: this route is recommended if you prefer to travel a shorter distance on a gravel road, bearing in mind neither route requires
a 4×4 vehicle.

O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) to Madikwe Safari Lodge via Molatedi Gate (Sun City). Note: this route is recommended if you do not mind travelling 50 kilometres/30 miles on a gravel road, or if you are coming from or going to
Sun City. This is a shorter route in distance, does not require a 4×4 vehicle and is more scenic.
