Set in the magnificent surrounds of Madikwe Game Reserve, Jaci’s Tree Lodge perches on wooden stilts, offering guests an unbeatable view of the Marico River’s bushveld surrounds.

Eight rooms, interconnected by wooden walkways, provide the luxurious accommodation fitting the breathtaking beauty of this unique conservation area. Moreover, the 75 000ha of Madikwe’s pristine bushveld reserve is yours to explore.

Accommodation

Constructed from natural materials, the rosewood and thatch tree houses that make up Tree Lodge’s accommodation remain eco-friendly and blend perfectly into the surrounding forest canopy.

However, with a king-sized bed, stone bath and outdoor shower in each room, they are nothing if not luxurious. Air conditioning and underfloor heating keep guests comfortable all year round, while they take in the perfect vistas from the spacious private balcony of each tree house.

Wildlife

In addition to the Big Five, Madikwe boasts spectacular biodiversity and among the numerous types of vegetation and landscapes, some 350 bird species inhabit the shepherd’s trees, weeping wattles, marula trees, shrubs and wild grasses. A variety of smaller animals may also be found. This includes honey badgers, servals, meerkats, bush babies and the warthogs so characteristic of the African Bush.

Please contact the lodge directly when passing Sun City to notify them of your arrival and for more specific directions should you require them.
Please refuel at Sun Village/Zeerust as there is no fuel available in the reserve.

• BY ROAD:

• From Johannesburg is to drive on the N4 Rustenberg Toll Road towards Sun City.

• Then take the R556 turnoff.

• Continue on, passing Sun City on the right, until reaching a four-way junction, where you should turn right, toward Derdepoort.

• Turn left at the sign that says “Bapong”. Continue for 45km, passing through Mabelskraal, until a four-way junction, where you will turn right towards Derdepoort.

• Continue straight on, onto the gravel road and through the Molatedi village and to the Molatedi Gate in the south-western corner of the Madikwe
